MEET THE DELEGATES
Manuela began her career at Earls Kitchen + Bar, working both in-store and at Head Office as a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator. After completing her undergrad at UBC Sauder, she pursued a role at Cossette, a leading Canadian marketing agency. She is currently in an account management role, working with various clients including TELUS, Sephora, Dairyland and Armstrong to name a few.
I'm Jason and graduated from UBC in 2015. Since then, I've built the entire marketing function for al IT company, led marketing for Montreal's biggest startup community, and now doing email marketing at Hootsuite. Ask me about: how UBC experiences can skyrocket your early career or a marketer's secret sauce to landing internships/your first job.
I'm the Director of Growth Marketing for Jostle Corporation in Vancouver, BC. I bring almost 10 years of varied experience including software sales at a large corporation, founding a men's fashion ecommerce business, crunching numbers as an analyst in healthcare, and running crowdfunding campaigns for social ventures.
Colette has been in the technology space for 5 years, and is currently a Client Executive at IBM. Prior to that, she was an Account Executive at SAP. In her current role, Colette manages the overall IBM relationship in a dozen of her BC-based clients in the Financial Industry and Retail vertical.
SAUDER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
Although my background includes working in Marketing, Communications, Sales, and Recruitment, my real passion has always been working with students to provide career guidance and coaching. I have worked in career services in both England and Canada, and at some of the most competitive universities in the world where I was often involved in recruiting students with academic potential, who faced additional barriers to progressing to post-secondary education.
As a consultant at The Sound, a leading consumer exploration, brand strategy and product innovation agency, Clea gets to spend her days uncovering insights about human behavior for clients such as Google, Facebook, and MillerCoors. In addition to working on client projects, she's part of The Sound Media, a team that produces documentary films investigating cultural trends, such as Generation Edge and the Disunited States of Everywhere. Clea holds an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from UBC and a bachelor's degree in film from Bard College
I have a relentless approach to marketing and have the cuts and scars to show for it. As the Marketing Manager at Meyler Capital, I am responsible for the driving acquisition, relationship management with clients & stakeholders, as well as the marketing of the firm itself. We are the team behind the world’s first hedge fund advertisement, and the 2017 winner of Hedgeweek’s ‘Best Third-Party Marketing Firm in North America’.
JOHNSON & JOHNSON - 4TH YEAR STUDENT
Juliet is in 4th year marketing student, with experience in brand management and social media marketing. She has previously chaired the Imprint Conference, participated in the Brand Management Mentorship Program, and is currently a part of the JDC West academic team. This past summer, she worked as an Assistant Brand Manager Intern on the Tylenol brand at Johnson & Johnson and will be returning full time post-graduation.
JENSEN TUNG MEDIA - 3RD YEAR STUDENT
Jensen is a third year Marketing and Real Estate student at UBC. His experience includes working in the tech and video advertising industry, and was the President of UBCMA from 2016 to 2017. He loves filmmaking, hip-hop, and deep talks.

Hello! My name is Kelsey and I am a fourth year student completing a double option in the fields of Marketing and BTM because I love the idea of aligning my passions for creative campaign development, data technology and relationship-building. This past summer, I had the opportunity to complete a digital marketing co-op at a Vancouver FinTech company specialized in website design, inbound marketing and software strategies. I look to pursue a career in both digital marketing and brand management and am looking forward to meeting all of you at the UBCMA Rendezvous event. Cheers!
4TH YEAR STUDENT
A Fourth Year Marketing student at the Sauder School of Business. Performed my first Co-op at WorkSafeBC performing market research. I am also a Campus Ambassador for the Great Canadian Sales Competition and placed second in the Vancouver Whitecaps Sales competition last year.
Rachel Yang is a Research Analyst at Ipsos, one of the largest global market research firms. She works on a variety of client projects, with industries including CPG, financial institutions, higher education, transportation and telecommunications. Rachel is happy to speak to any students who are struggling between pursuing a quantitative or qualitative field of study.
From being an aspiring police officer to landing photoshoots for Fortune 500 companies like McDonald's, RBC, and Morgan Stanley to becoming a creative director at a local restaurant marketing and PR outlet - Jason's story is a bit of a wild one. As the Creative Director at Tangoo, he spearheads the vision for all their videography, photography, and creative marketing campaigns.
3RD YEAR STUDENT
Annie is a third year Marketing & HR Student at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She spent this past summer completing a communications internship at BC Children's Hospital and will be going on her first co-op term in January 2018.
